The Enforcement Directorate (ED) yesterday questioned former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her son Tej Pratap Yadav in connection with the land-for-jobs money laundering case at the Patna Regional Office. The investigating officers interrogated both accused separately for more than three hours. Sources said the ED questioned Ms. Rabri Devi to gather additional inputs for the ongoing investigation. Investigators also questioned former minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, regarding his acquisition of immovable properties in Delhi and

other locations.

In the same case, the ED has summoned RJD President and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav to appear tomorrow at the Regional Office of the central enforcement agency in Patna. Earlier, the ED had interrogated Mr. Prasad for more than ten hours in January last year. The CBI is also conducting a separate investigation into the case, in which Lalu Prasad and his relatives allegedly received land in exchange for jobs given to Group D substitutes between 2004 and 2009.
