Eight
persons were killed Friday in a fire broke out at a cracker shop in Rustampura
village of Vaghodia tehsil of Vadodara district in Gujarat.
According to Police,
the fire started at the cracker shop outside a two-story building Friday
evening and spread to its ground floor which had a shop. However, a
gas
cylinder exploded due to the fire, causing a wall of a room on the first floor
to collapse.The victims were trapped under the debris, the police said.
Vadodara (rural) Superintendent of Police said that police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
