Elaborate arrangements being made for first phase of assembly elections in UP tomorrow

In Uttar Pradesh, all arrangements are being made for the first phase of assembly elections. 58 seats in Western UP will go to polls in this phase tomorrow. 

In the wake of the Covid pandemic all necessary arrangements are being made for the free fair and corona free polling. Polling parties will be dispatched to their respective locations today. 623 candidates are in fray for 58 assembly seats spread over 11 districts of the state.

Prominent political parties like BJP, Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya lok dal, bahujan samaj party,



Azad samaj party,  AIMIM and Congress have fielded their candidates for this phase of election. Political parties have now shifted their focus to the other phases of elections in the state.

Many senior leaders and star campaigners of different political parties will hold rallies, door to door canvassing and Road shows to garner the support of the public.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will release party's election manifesto for Uttar Pradesh today afternoon.
