Election Commission to review preparations for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections

Bhopal: A high level team of the Election Commission is arriving in Bhopal today to review the preparations for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections to be held this year.

The full bench of the Election Commission is coming to Bhopal on a three-day visit and will review various election related preparations from today.  

The Election Commission team will include Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goyal along with senior officials of the Commission.  The Commission will hold a meeting with



officials of recognized national political parties, enforcement agencies and the Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh.

On this occasion, apart from the unveiling of the special cover and sweep calendar, a voter awareness song will also be released by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. EPIC cards will also be distributed to young voters.  The Commission will also hold a meeting with Collectors, Superintendents of Police and District Election Officers of all 52 districts, and Commissioners and IGs of all 10 divisions of the state.
