Election for new speaker of UP Assembly will be held on March 30

In Uttar Pradesh election for new speaker of newly constituted 17th Assembly will be held on March 30. Nominations will be filed on March 29. 

Political observers have opined that Speaker will be elected unanimously. Ruling BJP has not yet announced its candidate for the post. Prior to speaker's election newly elected



MLAs will be administered oath on March 28 and 29 in the Assembly. 

Protem Speaker Fateh Bahadur and four other MLAs Durga Prasad Yadav, Ram Pal Verma, Fagu Chauhan and Ramveer Upadhyay nominated by the governor to assist the protem speaker will be administered the oath by the governor on March 27 at Rajbhawan.
