Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, has arrived in Uttarakhand for a two-day visit yesterday.

Mr Yadav, inspected various forest fire-affected areas in Tehri district. He held discussions with all stakeholders and sought recommendations for forest fire management.

During his visit, he surveyed the areas affected by forest fires in the Shivpuri, Hindolakhal, Bemunda, and Agrakhal forest ranges under the Narendranagar forest division and gave necessary



instructions to officials.

On this occasion Mr.Yadav emphasized the need for the Forest Department to enhance its preparedness in combating forest fires, urging prompt response mechanisms upon receiving fire alerts.
 
Today, on the occasion of International Yoga Day, Mr. Yadav will join yoga sessions with officer trainees from the Indian Forest Service and Central State Forest Service Academy at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun.
