Travellers can now take an evening flight from Srinagar to Delhi. Last evening, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti flagged off a flight from Srinagar International Airport to New Delhi. The regular evening flight would operate daily from 6.40 PM for New Delhi. Earlier last departure time from Srinagar Airport was 5.30 PM. The flight operators would be able to take advantage of this extended operation timing especially in the summer season. 
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on the occasion said this would go a long way in boosting tourism and help



expansion of economic activity in Jammu & Kashmir. She said, the Airports Authority of India and Indian Air Force have agreed to allow flight operations from Srinagar Airport upto 10.00 pm in the night. 
Mehbooba said, the state Government is working with various airlines and the Government of India to connect Srinagar and Jammu Airports with other cities of the country through direct flights and also start international flights from Srinagar Airport. Thirty four flights are operating from Srinagar International Airport daily from 6.00 am to 7.00 pm.
