Expansion of Akhilesh Yadav cabinet scheduled to take place today

In Uttar Pradesh, an expansion of cabinet of Akhilesh Yadav government is scheduled to take place today. Sources said, Balram Yadav, Ravidas Mehrotra, Ziauddin Rizvi and Sharda Pratap Shukla are likely to take oath as ministers. This is the ​seventh expansion of Akhilesh Yadav's government and probably the last one before 2017 Vidhan Sabha



elections. It is ​different because in precious reshuffles, focus was on his government but this time, it will have a bearing on the assembly elections which are ​hardly six months away. ​Akhilesh is trying to give a message to the electorate that he has the say in party​ by putting some faces of his choice into the cabinet.
