Mumbai: The crime branch in Mumbai has busted a fake passport and visa racket, and arrested two persons in Andheri in this connection. The police seized 28 fake passports and 24 fake visas from the accused.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (detection) Prashant Kadam said that based on specific inputs, the crime branch raided a flat in Andheri on Tuesday and
seized various articles, including fake passports, visas and stamps of immigration department of over 13 countries. He said the duo arrested used to help travel agents in preparing fake passports for those travelling abroad without proper documents. The accused charged them between one and five lakh rupees per passport.
