Farmers in Karnataka protest against Waqf board's claim over land

In Karnataka's Vijayapura, reports indicate the Waqf board has claimed around 1,500 acres of farmland. Farmers have engaged with BJP MP Tejasvi Surya to urge government intervention, also appealing to



the Siddaramaiah government awaiting action. 

Surya argues this is Congress's vote bank politics, accused of not addressing the WAQF board's authority under the Waqf Act.
