Filing of nomination for first phase of Assembly elections in Gujarat ends today

Today is the last day for filing nominations for the first phase of polling and polling for this phase will be held on December 9 in 89 constituencies. The scrutiny will be held tomorrow. A total of 377 nominations were filed yesterday by various candidates. The Congress has released the second list of 13 candidates replacing candidates in four seats from the previous one. 

Today, BJP State President Jitu Vaghani will file his nomination papers for



Bhavnagar West constituency in the presence of BJP National President Amit Shah. Also, senior BJP leader R.C.Faldu will file his nomination in the presence of Gujarat's Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. 

On the other hand, Congress yesterday late night released second list of candidates in which 4 candidates have been replaced from Junagadh, Bharuch, Kamrej and Varaccha Road constituencies. Thus, Congress has declared their candidates on 86 seats out of 89.
