Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will review the performance of Public Sector Banks on Sunday in the national capital. An official release said the major issues on agenda include Non Performing Assets of the Public Sector Banks, status of MSE Credit, Stand-up India and Mudra Yojana.
Financial Inclusion and literacy, review of performance of social security schemes such
as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana are some of the other issues.
The one day meeting will also discuss cyber security, digitalization of the banking transactions, and role and preparedness of banks in the implementation of Goods and Services Tax. GST is going to be rolled-out from the 1st of July.
