A fire broke out at the new secretariat in Telangana in the early hours of Friday. According to the sources, the fire started while woodwork was being done on the ground floor of the building. The plastic material on the ground floor caught fire, leading to a blaze on the first floor and heavy smoke billowing from the roof.
Immediately upon receiving the report, the fire crew rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control with the use of 11 fire engines. The fire tenders quickly responded to the emergency, preventing the fire from spreading.
The exact details of the fire are still being
investigated. However, the police believe that the fire was caused by the woodworking being done on the ground floor. Chief Minister KCR had previously announced plans to inaugurate the new secretariat on the 17th of this month.
