Security forces killed three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists during an encounter in Satora area of Tral in south Kashmir.
Upon receiving specific information, security forces from SOG police, army and CRPF cordoned off the area. The encounter began after militants opened fire on the security forces who were carrying out a search operation.
Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid said the encounter is still on and there are a couple more militants, who are using a cave in the area to hide in. He
also revealed that two bodies can be seen at the spot.
"The firing is still on and I hope some more will be eliminated. Their exact ethnicity is not known, but they do look like foreign terrorists," Vaid said.
Vaid further said that officers are on the spot and are making an effort to end the encounter as soon as possible.
He added that a Special Investigation Team has been constituted under the AIG, Anantnag, and details of the operation will be available soon.
