Kerala State Disaster Management Authority has urged the public to take adequate precautions as the Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rain and strong winds in the State from tomorrow, on account of low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal.
Fishing activities have been prohibited from midnight
tonight as sea is expected to be rough. Fishers who are out at sea have been advised to make for the nearest coast by tonight. The departments of Revenue and Local Self-Government have been directed to make arrangements for opening relief camps in case of emergency.
