Five of a family killed in Karnataka road accident

A family of five members lost their lives in a road accident near Yadgir district of Karnataka on Wednesday. The accident occurred near Tinthani Arch within the jurisdiction of Surapura police station.

The deceased have been identified as Ajaneya (35), his wife Gangamma (28), and their three children including Pavithra (05) and Rayappa (03) along with Anjaneya's nephew, Hanumantha (01).

According to Karnataka Police, the accident took place when



the family’s bike was rammed by a bus. Three among the five, including two children died on the spot, wherein the other two lost their lives on their way to the hospital.

The family was traveling from Tinthani from Surapura when the bus belonging to the Kalyan Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKSRTC) collided with the bike from behind. The incident occurred as the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the tragedy.
