On the 78th Independence Day, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel hoisted the National flag and took the salute at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow. The Governor also paid obeisance to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. In her address, the Honorable Governor said that cleanliness and innovation are necessary for the progress of society and our nation. She called for fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of a self-reliant and developed India.
While UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the tricolour at Vidhan Bhavan. The Chief Minister also distributed gallantry awards to the war heroes who showed indomitable courage to protect the nation.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called upon the
people of the state to follow the Panch Pran. CM Yogi said that it is the duty of all of us to follow the Panch Pran. Shri Yogi said that the last vow in these Panch Pran is related to civic duties, which we have to discharge on a priority basis. He said that if everyone fulfils his or her duties, then by the time we celebrate the centenary of independence, we will be a developed nation.
The Chief Minister said that once UP was considered a BIMARU state but today it has become a surplus state with unlimited potential. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also announced a new scheme named ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan’ which will generate employment opportunities for 10 lakh youth.
