Flights in Delhi disrupted due to low visibility

Delhi woke up to a heavy blanket of smog and high levels of air pollution surpassing the hazardous mark on Sunday. 

The increasing temperature and dense fog have caused low visibility resulting in service disruption of trains and flights in the national capital. 

More than 40 flights were diverted and more than 90 flights were affected at the Delhi airport on



Sunday. 

Operations at the airport were on halt until 11 am and have now been resumed. 

Northen areas of Delhi such as Shadipur has been recorded at 387(hazardous) following RK Puram at 350 (hazardous) on the air quality index. 

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the fog condition today is expected to remain dense and continue till tomorrow.
