In Bihar, flood situation continued to be grim in Patna, Nalanda, Gaya and Jehanabad districts. Low lying areas of these districts have been inundated with flood waters and people have been shifted to safer places. After making an aerial survey of flood affected areas of the state, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the flood threat to Patna, Nalanda and other districts might increase if there is more rainfall in the coming days in north and south

Bihar.

Nitish Kumar instructed concerned district authorities to provide necessary support to the affected population without any delay.

Meanwhile Ganga and Punpun rivers are flowing above danger mark. Surging waters of these rivers are engulfing fresh areas. Met department has issued yellow alert for heavy rainfall accomplished with thunderstorm and lightning for the next four days.
