Flood situation remains alarming in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, flood situation remains alarming with death toll in the current surge rising to 91. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted aerial survey of flood affected Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Basti and Gorakhpur districts yesterday. 

He also dispatched several trucks loaded with relief materials for flood affected people from Lucknow. More than 24 lakh people of more than 3000 villages are



affected with the current floods. More than fifty seven thousand people have taken shelter in relief camps. 

25 districts of eastern and Terai regions are flood affected. River Ghaghara has flooded more areas in Ballia district. NDRF, PAC are engaged in relief and rescue operations. Crops in more than 5 crore fifty lakh hectares of land is estimated to be damaged.
