Former CM Edappadi Palaniswamy demands Tamil Nadu Govt to procure paddy from farmers

Chennai: AIADMK co-coordinator and former chief minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Palaniswamy has demanded the state government to procure paddy from all the farmers. In a statement issued in Chennai yesterday, he has said, efforts should also be made to safeguard the procured paddy from the vagaries of



nature.

He has charged that, in several districts, the paddy have been wasted due to open exposure, which led to decay during the recent summer rains. He has also said, proper compensation to the farmers should be given for the loss of crops during the unseasonal rain.
