In Kashmir valley, the administration has booked former Chief Ministers, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti under the Public Safety Act. Official sources told that the order was served to both leaders yesterday evening. Sources said that besides Abdullah and Mufti, general secretary of National Conference, Ali Mohammad Sagar and
senior PDP leader Sartaj Madni were also booked under the Act.
All these politicians were taken into preventive custody on August 5, 2019 after the Central Government decided to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution and nullify the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
