Former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He is being kept under observation at the cardio-thoracic ward.
Manmohan Singh was taken to AIIMS in Delhi at 8:45 pm on Sunday night after he complained of chest congestion. According to sources, a team of doctors is currently attending to the former PM. Former PM
Manmohan Singh is under the care of Dr Nitish Naik, a professor of cardiology at AIIMS-Delhi.
A source close to the former prime minister said, "All his parameters are fine. He is under observation at the AIIMS," adding that he was taken to the hospital after he complained of "uneasiness".
Aged 87, Dr Manmohan Singh underwent successful coronary bypass surgery at AIIMS in Delhi in 2009.
