Gurdaspur: The Senior Vice President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) and former Punjab minister Sewa Singh Sekhwan joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday in the presence of party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal at Sekhwan village in Gurdaspur district. Mr. Sekhwan was a minister in the Parkash Singh Badal-led Akali government. and he had left the Shiromani Akali Dal in 2018. After inducting Sewa Singh Sekhwan in the party
Mr Kejriwal welcomed him and said, we want him to guide us. He said that Sewa Singh Sekhwan has made a bigger contribution in the development of Punjab. On
this occasion, making attack on controversial advisors of Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu, Mr. Kejriwal said, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari India is one and they do not do politics on such issues.
Prior to it after reaching the Amritsar airport in the afternoon, Kejriwal travelled to the residence of Sekhwan at his native village Sekhwan and spent some time with him. Mr. Sekhwan thanked him for visiting his house and honoured him with SIROPA. Mr. Sekhwan while describing Mr Kejriwal great person said, his remaining life is dedicated to Kejriwal.
