BJP leader and former Rajasthan minister Digamber Singh passed away in Jaipur on Friday.
Singh was ill for a long time. He was admitted to Jaipur's EHCC Hospital on October 18 after his condition worsened.
Rajsathan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, along with several other BJP leaders, have reached the hospital to express their grief.
He had served as a cabinet minister in Rajasthan Governmetn led by
Vasundhara Raje.
Singh represented Deeg-Kumher constituency of Bharatpur district in the assembly.
He was born on October 1, 1951, at village Barkhera Faujdar in Bharatpur dustrict. He completed MBBS from Medical College Jodhpur and served in Government Medical Department until 1992. He was first elected to assembly in 1993. He served first as Minister of Health and later from 2009 as Industries Minister.
