Four Army jawans were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast that was planted near a school in Shamsipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. A senior police official told that four personnel of Army’s Road Opening Party (ROP) of 24 RR were injured in the blast. All the injured have been shifted t Army’s 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar.
The official said that the school
building was also damaged in the blast. The area has been sealed off and a massive manhunt has been launched.
Army’s PRO in Srinagar, in a statement issued to media, said that it was grenade attack that was lobbed on the ROP. He said that after providing, on the spot, first aid to the soldiers, they have been shifted to the hospital for further treatment.
