Four people killed in communal clashes at Bijnor district in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, four people were killed in ​Peda village of ​Bijnor ​district in communal clashes​ Friday. Police said, the brawl erupted after a girl was allegedly harassed by some youth from another community​.​ Some people opened fire during the violence, leaving four dead and at least five injured​. 

Five people have been



arrested in this connection and two policemen suspended. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area in view of the incident.​ State DGP, S Javeed Ahmed said, the situation is under control.​

The state government has announced an ex-gratia of 20 lakh rupees each to the kin of the deceased and five lakh each to the injured.
