Four terrorists killed, one soldier martyred in J-K's Kulgam

At least four terrorists have been killed while an encounter to neutralise the fifth one is underway at Modergam Village of Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), the Kashmir Zone Police informed on Saturday. One soldier has also been martyred in the security operation.

Officials said the security forces were conducting a



cordon-and-search operation in Modergam village of the south Kashmir district after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists there.

The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon security personnel, a police official said.

The operation is on and further details are awaited, he added.
