Most parts of Kashmir, including Srinagar city, received a fresh spell of snowfall yesterday and the mercury stays close to the freezing point in the summer capital for the 3rd consecutive day.
The fresh snowfall has added to the intensity of the cold wave across the Kashmir region impacting normal life.
Met department said under the influence of the Western
Disturbance, light to moderate snowfall is expected to continue till noon with low intensity across most parts of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the weather is likely to improve this afternoon across the Kashmir region.
The authorities have mobilised men and machinery to clear accumulated snow from the main and link roads across the Kashmir region.
