Road, Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath will lay the foundation stone of Delhi-Saharanpur Highway in Baghpat today. 154 km long National Highway will be developed in three phases. The four lane national highway NH-709 B is 154 km long from Ghaziabad to Saharanpur and construction on this was started in 2010 when BSP was in power but later work was left incomplete due to various issues.
Once the construction of the highway is complete, anyone from Baghpat will be able to reach Delhi in just two hours, which now takes more than three hours due to the bad condition of the road. After the stone-laying ceremony, chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Union minister Nitin Gadkari will address the gathering also.
