Gangster Nayeem laid to rest in Bhongir

The last rites of gangster Nayeemuddin, who was shot dead by police on Monday, were performed at a graveyard located near his house in Bhongir on Tuesday. 

Amid tight security, the body of the gangster was brought to his village in an ambulance at around 2 pm. Tension prevailed for a while when relatives and supporters of the slain gangster gheroed the ambulance.



 Police had to use mild force to disperse the wailing mob. Meanwhile, Nayeem’s brother and his relatives refused to perform the last rites till the gangster’s wife and children were released from police custody. 

However, police convinced the family members with the help of religious elders. Under tight security, final rites of Nayeem were performed.
