The visiting German President Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier will hold meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today.
During the meeting, both the leaders are expected to discuss ways to further deepen ties between the two countries in various areas.
In the morning, Dr Steinmeier will be accorded Ceremonial Reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He will also meet President Ram Nath Kovind
in the evening. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and External Affairs Sushma Swaraj will also call on the German President. Dr. Steinmeier who is on five day visit to India from 22nd of this month will visit Chennai tomorrow.
The bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries has been robust. Germany is India’s largest trading partner in Europe and the 6th largest trading partner in the world.
