The government yesterday said there has been an increase of 6.34 percent in the budgetary allocation for capital acquisition in the modernisation of the defence for the current financial year. 

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Sethi, said the government has allocated a budget



of 1 lakh 72 thousand crore rupees under the capital outlay on Defence Services during the fiscal. He also said that out of the capital outlay, an allocation of over one lakh forty thousand crore rupees was made available for capital acquisition for the modernisation of the armed forces.
