Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that government is committed to doubling the income of farmers and increasing crop productivity. Addressing the farmers in Patna during Kisan Samvad, Mr. Chouhan said, all resolutions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding farmers, are being fulfilled by providing cheap loans through Kisan Credit Cards and ensuring a fair price for the produce with



MSP.

Expressing his concern over the adverse impact of climate change on agriculture, Mr. Chouhan said the government is promoting resilient seeds with high yield and short-duration varieties.

Mr. Chouhan said there is huge potential in the state for the production of fox nut (makhana), maize, tea, honey, Katarni rice, and Magahi paan, and farmers can earn good revenue from their export.
