New Delhi: The Government has rolled back a ban on the construction and demolition activities in the National Capital Region (NCR) as the forecast by IMD indicates that the overall Air Quality Index, AQI, of the region is likely to stay in the very poor category in coming days. Air quality of Delhi has improved from the level of severe category observed on 30th of last month to Very Poor category recorded today.
Sub-committee
of the Commission for Air Quality Management took this decision while reviewing the air quality scenario in the region yesterday.
However, all actions under Stage-I to Stage-II of GRAP will remain invoked and be implemented, intensified, monitored, and reviewed by all agencies concerned in the entire NCR to ensure that the AQI levels do not slip further to the severe category.
