Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan addresses joint session of both Houses of Maharashtra Legislature

Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan addressed the joint session of both Houses of the Maharashtra Legislature yesterday. He congratulated all the newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister, and both Deputy Chief Ministers. Highlighting Maharashtra’s top position in foreign direct investment and its 14% share in the country’s GDP, Mr. Radhakrishnan stated that the government aims to make Maharashtra a one trillion



USD economy by the year 2027-28.

Earlier, the Mahayuti government, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, won the trust vote in Maharashtra’s Legislative Assembly.

After the Governor’s address, both Houses of the Legislature reassembled, and the motion to thank the Governor for his address was moved.
