The Centre has approved the construction of 76 roads in Andhra Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Man Yojana (PM-JANMAN). These roads will cover a total length of 297.18 kilometres at an estimated cost of 275.07 crore rupees. The central government will bear 163.39 crore rupees, while the state government will contribute 111.68 crore rupees. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity and promote development in
the state.
Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture, Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasized the government’s commitment to uplifting vulnerable and tribal communities. He highlighted that several initiatives, including housing for tribal families, are being implemented nationwide under PM-JANMAN to ensure inclusive growth.
