The Government has approved important road projects in Jammu and Kashmir. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said this while briefing the media yesterday. He said that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will undertake the construction of a new national highway from Lakhanpur to Basohli-Bani to Bhaderwah-Doda.

Chhatergala tunnel work costing around 4000 crore rupees will be executed by the NHAI. Mr Singh informed that the construction of the Delhi-Katra express corridor is in the last phase of its completion. He said the work on the national highway section of Kishtwar Chatru and another prestigious project of the Chenani-Sudhmahadev national highway will also be expedited.
