Govt approves national permit scheme for inter-state travel for bus operators

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari yesterday said, the government has approved the national permit scheme for inter-state travel for bus operators.

The move is likely to increase the state revenue by 3-4 per cent as the money will be directly credited to the states in a proportionate manner. Minister was attending the India International Bus and Car show, Prawaas 2019 in



Mumbai.

The minister announced that the government will soon provide the online facility of obtaining a permit for the electric vehicles including buses, car taxis, autos and bike taxis.

Mr. Gadkari said that government is working on alternative fuel such as deriving ethanol from sugarcane which will be cost-effective and pollution-free.
