Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that NDA government has allocated more than two lakh crore rupees for the development of Jammu and Kashmir from 2014 to 2019.
Addressing Jammu Jan Samvad rally through video conferencing, Mr Singh said, the government will carry out so much development activities in Jammu and Kashmir that people of PoK will demand to be part of India. He said, Modi government has taken several landmark decisions and the abrogation of Article 370 was one of them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership during the Covid-19 crisis is lauded, not only within the country, but across the globe, the Defence Minister said. He said the Prime Minister accepted the Corona crisis as a challenge and took many big and important
decisions.
Mr Singh said, the economy was adversely affected during the time of Corona crisis, but the Prime Minister announced a package of 20 lakh crore rupees for the countrymen.
On the issue of border standoff with China, Mr Singh said, the government is engaged in talks with the Chinese side at diplomatic and military levels. He said, China has also expressed desire to resolve the dispute with India through talks.
The Minister said, India will never compromise on its national pride. He also assured the opposition that the central government will not keep Parliament or anyone in the dark about developments on the border and will share details at an appropriate time.
