Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said, the government is focusing on providing quality education to minority students as their empowerment is not possible without it.
Addressing the annual Conference of National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) in New Delhi yesterday, Mr. Naqvi said the NDA government is working to ensure that no minority student is deprived of good education due to lack of money. He said, NDA government is focusing for the upliftment of minorities with a motto of inclusive development of
all. He listed out series of welfare measures taken by the Centre for the education, employment and skill development of the people from minorities section.
Mr. Naqvi said the NMDFC gives education loan to minority students at an interest rate of three per cent and artisans are being given loan at an interest rate of five per cent to establish their businesses. The Minister also said several measures are being taken to address the gap related to the development of minorities in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
