New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan asserted that the Government is prepared to tackle any situation arising out of COVID-19 and that the issue is being constantly monitored by the concerned Group of Ministers.
Speaking to media persons in New Delhi yesterday, Dr Harshavardhan advised people not to create panic and report any related symptoms like fever, sore throat or respiratory problems at the nearest designated medical facility.
Two new positive cases of Novel Corona virus, COVID-19 have been reported in the country.One positive case has been detected in New Delhi and the other has been detected in Telangana. The person from Delhi has a travel history from Italy. The other one from Telangana has a travel history with Dubai. Further details of their travel are being ascertained. Both the patients are stable and are being closely monitored.

Tehran has said that no Indian has been infected by Novel Coronavirus in Iran. In a tweet, the embassy advised them to follow health protocols regarding COVID-19 and not fall prey to rumors. The embassy said it is in touch with Indians in Iran, including pilgrims and students.
Aviation regulator Director General of Civil Aviation said that all passengers coming from Italy and Iran would undergo thermal screening for Novel Corona virus. Passengers from 10 countries including China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia are already being screened at Indian airports.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has reported its first case of new coronavirus. A Saudi citizen coming from Iran through Bahrain has been tested positive for COVID-19. The Saudi citizen did not disclose his presence in Iran at the Saudi port.
