Govt sanctions over one crore 22 lakh houses so far under PMAY (U)

Government has sanctioned over one crore 22 lakh houses so far under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban. The scheme was launched in 2015 with the objective of providing all-weather pucca houses to urban beneficiaries with the vision of Housing for All.

said this in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha yesterday. He said, against the sanctioned houses, around one crore two lakh have been grounded for construction. The Minister informed that over 61 lakh houses are completed and delivered to beneficiaries since inception of the Scheme.
