New Delhi: Union Government has convened an all party meeting on 30th of this month in view of the Budget Session of the Parliament. During the meeting, it will seek support of political parties to ensure smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
Talking to a private TV channel, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said, the meeting will take place virtually. He added that the government is ready for discussion on any issue on the floor of the house.
The Budget Session will
begin on 29th of this month with President Ram Nath Kovind's address to the Joint Sitting of both the Houses of Parliament.
The Union Budget will be presented on 1st of February. The first part of the session will conclude on 15th February while the second part of the session will begin on 8th of March and will conclude on 8th April.
In view of COVID-19 pandemic, the Rajya Sabha will function from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. and Lok Sabha will function from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M.
