Govt's decision to revoke special status of J&K was important for national security: Ravi Shankar Prasad

Senior BJP leader and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad yesterday said the government's decision to revoke the special status of J&K was important for national security.

He was speaking at a press conference in Nagpur. 

Mr Prasad's comment came in the backdrop of remarks by Opposition parties that the issue of abrogation



of article 370 had nothing to do with Maharashtra Assembly polls. He said article 370 had become a platform for terrorism and separatism. 

The BJP leader expressed confidence that the party will sweep the assembly polls as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has done a lot of development in the state.
