In Uttar Pradesh, a grand deepotsav has been organised in ancient city Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Governor of the state Anandiben Patel started the function yesterday evening by lighting the earthen lamps at Shri Ramjanm Bhumi Temple and performed the aarti of Ramlala.
This was 4th Deepotsav in a row at Ayodhya after Yogi Adityanath came into power but first since the verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute came and the work for grand temple at Ram janmbhumi has started.
"Ghats of holy river Saryu illuminated with the light of more than 5 lakh 51 thousand earthen lamps in an attempt to create a world record. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on the occasion that next year the number of earthen lamps will reach 7 lakh 51 thousand. He said that state government will
develop all the places related with lord Rama. He said that the international airport at Ayodhya will be connected with Korea, Nepal and Thailand. On this occasion Whole Ayodhya city is decorated with lights, and on the theme of Ramayana.
This is a historic diwali celebration in the heritage city which started in evening and will continue till late night. state government has made the arrangements for every ram bhakts virtual participation in this event by launching a dedicated website virtualdeepotsav.com.
Earlier in the evening Chief Minister and other dignitaries did RAJTILAK of Lord Rama, Lakahman and Sita who arrived in a helicopter termed as pushpak vimaan reminiscing the return of Lord Rama in Ayodhya in treta yog. Ministers and dignitaries also took part in SARYU ARTI in evening.
