Grand Rangotsav in Mathura Vrindavan begins today

In Uttar Pradesh, the grand Rangotsav showcasing the unique colours of holi in Mathura Vrindavan will start today. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take part in today's inauguration program and in the world famous Laddoo Holi.

As per the rituals of the braj region every day of this Rangotsav will have an unique feature of Holi such as Ladoo holi, Latthmar Holi, Chadi Holi and foolon ki holi. Today's ladoo holi will be played with Ladoos while tomorrow it will be



lathmar holi in which women will symbolically hit men with sticks and men shield themselves with the cover while colours will be sprinkling on them.

The buildings and structures at the Various Ghats will be illuminated through "coloured concept lighting" to enhance the grandeur of the venue along with 35 temples in Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana and Nandgaon, including Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish Temple and intersections in the towns.
