Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani conducted a aerial survey of the flood-hit Banaskantha on Sunday.
While speaking to media, Rupani said,''Will stay in Banaskantha for 5 days.Officials to camp in affected tehsils. Focus of govt on bringing relief in Banaskantha & Patan.''
''I visited Dhanera which suffered heavy losses. We're making schemes to reinstate farmers, traders &



stockmen,'' Vijay Rupani said.
The Gujarat government announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of the deceased, in addition to the Rs 2 lakh compensation announced by the Centre.
Around 1.5 lakh cusecs of water was released from the dam following heavy rains in neighbouring Rajasthan, which resulted in inundation of several villages along the banks of the river in Banaskantha.
