Gujarat govt extends night curfew in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat & Rajkot till April 15

Gujarat government had decided to extend night curfew in four major cities of the State till 15th April. According to official release, the night curfew will remain effective in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot from 9 pm to 6 am. The implementation of Center's guidelines on Covid19 has also been extended till 30th April. The new cases of Covid19 continue to rise in the state.

 

Gujarat recorded 2220 new cases of Covid19 during the last 24 hours. At the other end, 1988 patients have been recovered and discharged from the various hospitals during the same period. Maximum 606 new cases have been



reported from Ahmedabad while Surat recorded 563 new cases yesterday. 10 patients died yesterday taking the total death toll due to Covid19 up to 4510. Gujarat has 12263 active cases at present, out of which 147 patients are on ventilator. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has added 30 new micro containment zones in the city. 

Meanwhile vaccination drive is running in full swing in the state.  1 lakh 93 thousand 968 persons have been vaccinated during the last 24 hours, with this more than 53 lakh persons have been vaccinated in the state till now.
