Gujarat is celebrating the 63rd Foundation Day on 1st May 2023. The official function celebrating the foundation day will be held at Jamnagar in the presence of Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. During the function, the Chief Minister will virtually dedicate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth 300 crore rupees.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended greetings of Gujarat Foundation Day to the people. In a message, he said Gujarat has emerged as a role model of development under the leadership of Narendra Modi. The state came into existence
after the bifurcation of erstwhile Bombay State in 1960.
During the grand celebrations of foundation day, about 21 platoons of Gujarat Police will conduct a march past which will be followed by a horse show and motorcycle stunt show, During the event, the 21-foot bronze statue of Maharana Pratap, will also be unveiled. In the evening, a grand multimedia show depicting the rich cultural history of Jamnagar will be presented by 150 artists. As part of the celebration, an exhibition of modern and traditional weapons is also being organised at Jamnagar.
